EXCELLENCE

Excellence is a very mistaken concept in our society in previous times. Many are quick to define excellence and success based on people's social media posts where they display huge wands of cash and expensive cars (of which they don't know their source). Many are quick to think that the things they see on display are excellent automatically. 

For One To Realize What Excellence Is, One Needs To Know That True Excellence Is On The Inside (Internal Excellence), Which Is Automatically Bound To Reflect On The Outside.

INTERNAL EXCELLENCE

As weird as it might sound, Excellence is a state of a man's heart and mind(set) that will transform into his outside. 

Let's dive into the Bible to know more about excellence: 

The word "Excellence" appears in the book of proverbs

Proverbs 12:26-  The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

Considering the first part of the above text, it says, the righteous is more excellent than his neighbor. Now, his neighbour could be the richest man, the most affluent and could possess million in wands of cash, but as long as a man is righteous, he is already excellent and possess the spirit of excellence in him. If you're seeing this, and you ultimately desire true excellence, give yourself to pursue righteousness, and excellence will become yours. Proverbs 17:7 Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.

     Another trait of excellence is in the way a man talks, many times, people tend to take little or no consideration to their speech all in the name of being intelligent or being rich, thinking that how they talk is of little importance. No! No!! (This shouldn't be!) A man should know that the first proof of excellence is in the way he talks.

Excellence Is Not About Being Necessarily Fluent And Eloquent; It's About Being Morally Upright And Speaking Sensibly.

The first thing men will see in you apart from the way you dress is the way you talk, and when they hear you talk, they have a glimpse of the kind of person you are.

Proverbs 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

The third point is similar to the previous one, but you have to note something from here. It is imperative for anyone who wants to be termed as excellent to have some certain abilities

Not only should you be excellent in speech, but the ability to know when to talk and when not to. 

One should be a man of understanding, that means one should give one's self to constant learning; to grow in wisdom and mastery. This, in turn, will serve as a kind of proof to the outside world on how excellent you are.

One doesn't just become excellent. True excellence is a process, an internal and conscious process that will ultimately reflect on the outside.

ONCE YOU BECOME EXCELLENT, YOU ATTRACT SUCCESS.

A POEM ON EXCELLENCE

Excellence is the virtue and lifestyle

By which men are distinguished from peers.

To some, average performance may appeal,

To many, greatness is a far-fetched dream,

But few through excellence reach to their dreams.

By excellent deeds, men live though now beneath,

Carving a path for nations yet unborn.

Till good be better and better be best

A man of excellence will never rest.
